Our Devon Rex:

Many years ago, about 1989 someone asked us if we breed Devon Rex. We did not even knew what these cats look like. We went to a bookshop to look this breed up and we hated the look.

When we met our friend Elaine Michel in the late 1990's who was breeding Devons at the time she asked us to take Serena Dutchess Natasha to a Cape Town show for her.

Nattie slept with Ian and charmed us the whole weekend. Needless to say when we got back home Ian asked Elaine for one of Nattie's first babies. When Elmas Miss Muffet was about 3 weeks old she chose Ian. She ran to the side of the playpen and asked to be picked up. I am happy to say that both Nattie and Muffie is still alive and are on pension in our house.

Devons successes:

Elmas Miss Muffet came 4th in Cat of the Year our first COTY and we were over the moon about her placing.

Serena Sailorman Davy Jones was stud of the year 2003. This was also the year he sired his last litter. Davy had a bit of a reputation and not a happy cat on show but at home he was a sweetie.

2005 Taldi Modesty Blaze won Kitten of the Year.

Since 2000 we had a Devon Rex every year competing in Cat of the Year.
